Policy Statement
Residents and fellows who wish to resign before completing their training program are required to provide at least 30 days’ notice, unless an exception is granted by the Program Director. Resignation notification must be submitted in writing by the resident or fellow to the Program Director. Upon receipt of the resignation notice, the Program Director is responsible for notifying the Senior Associate Dean for GME in writing. If the Program Director grants an exception to the required 30 days’ notice period, please include the rationale in the notification to the Office of Graduate Medical Education via [email protected]. All conditions of appointment will terminate on the effective date of the resignation.
